The price of the JDM is lower than I had last known. I could swear God from DFH said it was way more expensive. I found the JDM locally for 500ish and 40ish for a flange converter. SO I guess 400 can be found somehow through a deal.

I would still like to see dyo results showing the JDM Type-R or Mugen header making alot of power on a JRSC GS-R. I am sorry, but the header configuration does not lend itself to the exhaust flow properties most desirable for supercharging. Off all the direct bolt-on headers out right now, the 4-2-1 DC seems to be the best. It has good sized secondaries, and has a high-velocity for the gases to exit. A good header with max gains on the SC has not been built yet by any mass-producer. Hell, the best thing would be straight pipes right off the head popping through the hood (imagine this kick-ass image!) Doubt you would pass noise and smog checks with that! Until then you are best off with the DC unless you can show substantial gains from the Mugen, or adequate gains from the JDM.

The header I plan to experiment with is the Kamakazi so until I talk to that guy again, I won't have dyno papers to show. Only papers I'm going to make are with the headers I buy. I will have the AEM cam gears installed this vacation and dyno in January (found a very close and cheap dyno center FINALLY 75/an hour).

man, somebody, anybody post them dynos ya'all been talk'n bout the JDM 4-1 header making 10HP...cuz i haven't seen shitz yet???--even on some f--k'n NA ride!
i also read on the other board that ya not only have ta weld a new cat to the header but, also have to get a new US ITR B-pipe to extend to make it fit on a GS-R? all that shitz and find'n some ghetto hookup for $400 will more likely cost around 6 bills! shitz is add'n UP...
yeahhh...i'm gonna be spout'n off bout the SCC header test cuz atleast they gots the numbers ta prove it and do mo' test'n then flap'n the mouth! yeah, yeah, they should've tested the f--ker wid cam gears...yeah, they should've tested it with a JRSC...then we could all lay this crapz to rest!--then again, maybe NOT!--ya only can test wid the avg. bolts-on or stocker as the baseline...jus makes it mo' a ba-itch to find out what's really make'n da pwr and what's jus a P.O.S!
silvino: damn, ya found dyno time for $75/hr...where at?--cool, good luck--bro wid ya testing..and post--please.
peace.

Please, why must you little bitches always rag on someone, I.E. MEEEEE...for posting info that you think is incorrect. Jesus christ, sorry if my numbers were off from your numbers, but from my experience I have not seen the JDM header go for less than 6 or 7 hundred dollars(because most of you shits that get JDM stuff sell it for way too much). It is not worth the fucking money. You can get the J&S and a new pulley for less than that...and later down the road you might as well just get the DC 4-1, unless you are made of money, which some of you seem to be, unless you have real jobs like Will and Jeff and the rest of the elder crew......
I am sorry if I don't spend my whole freakin life wasting away on my little POS import, I have college and so forth to attend to, I know many of you out there are in the same situation, so I am sorry if I offend. I just hate people that jump on the little chance to prove someone wrong, I have been in this game pretty long, so I guess some of you lesser known individuals are jealous, peace and see ya later....Hmmm, wonder why I don't post much anymore???????????? And BS, those little bastards are not easy to come buy unless you are sucking Adrian Teos dick......oh well, enough said, I will keep my posts to a minimum, I am COMING FOR YA WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Silvino don't stress about it. I'm not pointing any finger at you.
If you want a JDM 4-1 for around 4 bills, keep an eye out on Hybrid back alley. I see the things all the time... Or ask Dan Ponze. But keep in mind that you're risking a loss unless someone can tell me that they've tested one with the JRSC.
For NA, the 4-1 is great, but it all has to do with tuning. The people spouting sh!t about SCC's header article and how awesome the DC 4-2-1 heaer is don't have a freakin' clue as to how this works. They should have thrown some cam sprockets/fuel controller on and then actually tuned the car to the header.

If interested in the jdm header email dan (God) at [email protected]. And i know that it is not 700 bucks, i cant quote you a price, but he will be more than happy to. Good guy, he is in chicago and michigan so if you live near here he is local for you as well. He has it on his NA R and it made a big difference.

I really find it funny to read about people tring to be like ghetto black people. Do you guys actually read your posts after writing them? I guess this is the end result of listening to gangster rap. A 12 year old could write with better grammar and spelling.
On to the topic of headers. There is no one, and I mean no one that has actually done real world test with headers and actually has dyno proof that they either work or they do not work. I have. Thinking the JDM 4-1 Honda header is going to give you big gains is like thinking that Bill Clinton tells the truth.
Others used "Will's" example of the DC 4-2-1 one piece header in that his quarter mile times drop because of the header. What is not noted is that he put in an aftermarket clutch, pressure plate, LSD, Slicks, Test Pipe. I suppose none of the above parts had anything to do with the improvement. Only the header. That header is a direct copy of the factory manifold.
No there is me. I dyno tested the DC 4-1 and it works, period. The dyno test was done at JR. No BS dyno results. Nobody else can step forward and say different. I dyno tested the 4-2-1 and it loss power.
Will's dynos with the cam gears. Who is not to say that the gears were detuned before the "tuning" Then he "gains" power. That is BS. His power output was below stock when he started. Dynamic Autosports who are the best cam gear tuners in SoCal. gain no power with cam gears, just as JR. But Will magically gain power? Come on!

All I can say is this:
I ran a best of 13.49 before I put the header on. bolt on the header and went to the track, didn't dyno in my gears or whatever, just bolted on the 4-2-1 header. With a 8 psi kit it makes a difference, my times dropped to low 13.30's and high 13.20's with a best of 13.24 with my car blowing blue smoke so All I can say is that it made power on my car. You don't gain .2 in the quarter magically. Oh and BTW the conditions were the same humidity and within a degree or 2 of the same temp (had our mini weather station there
)
Later,
Will

I'm sure I'll get shit about my JnS soon too. That I don't have a dyno sheet to prove that it helps my car or that I didn't take apart my engine to see if it stopped real damage. I can now almost keep pace with my roommates LS1 and my gas milage is higher and I have no detonation but that's not enough proof or a dyno sheet. Richard, I thought you were brutal but ok at once. This is why people don't share information on here that's been hidden. It's due to you being such an ass about things that people don't care to stick their neck out and help everyone out. You can count me in on one of those people from now on. I'm going to share information with friends through email or phone but never on this board again.
